Learn To Succeed By Failing

“In business, whether you’re developing a new company or have a company that’s well-developed, you’re always learning new things as a businessperson,” says Michael Johannson, an automotive development consultant. “The business world is constantly advancing, and if you’re not learning, you’re not going to keep up with those changes. You’ve got to constantly learn and try new things, and not be afraid of making mistakes.”

Along those lines, just consider what Thomas Watson, the founder of IBM, had to say about making mistakes: “The formula for success is quite simple, really. Double your rate of failure...you can be discouraged by failure or you can learn from it. So go ahead and make mistakes.” Robert Stackford, owner of a personal security firm, put it a bit more bluntly, saying, “Every single thing I learned in this business, I learned by screwing up.”

If you take on the challenge of launching your own e-business, things will never go as smoothly as you had hoped for, initially. There will be failures and frustration. But as you continue to keep pushing forward, you will gather experience and expertise, and things will eventually start to go your way.

Conversely, if you hang back and never venture forward due to a fear of stumbling while learning new concepts and principles, you will forgo the great success you might have had. Keep in mind that it's normal to face an element of fear when attempting something you’ve never tried before.

And in the end, you’ll find that the Internet is not as complicated a beast as it’s made out to be sometimes, with Hollywood portraying all those “hackers” and computer geeks as the only ones able to access its “secrets.” Internet marketing is a legitimate and dramatically expanding industry that is open to all types of people.

There are everyday people online right now making $1,000, $5,000, and sometimes even well over $15,000 dollars a month with their own home-based e-businesses. If you want to emulate their success, you should follow their example and move forward confidently, believing in yourself.

Open To All

So just what type of people make a living through Internet marketing? Forget any stereotypes of brainy cyber-geeks or used car salesmen-types with slicked-backed hair. Examples of ordinary people who have found success on the Internet abound. Typical people making money on the Internet today include single mothers, college students, teenagers, retirees, parents, and even ministers. There really is no certain "type" when it comes to the Internet entreprenuer. Anyone can find success online.

But what exactly are these folks doing to earn their Internet income? Let's find out.
