Dealing With Stress
Effective ways for busy moms to deal with stress.

Without doubt, mothers are the busiest people on earth. From keeping the house in order, to dropping off the kids at soccer practice, to attending parent-teacher conferences, to organizing a birthday party, a mom’s work seems to have no end.

Living at such a hectic pace, stress levels can easily rise as a result. Stress is so harmful because it affects so many areas of life, including work, family, and relationships in general. Stress causes distraction and bouts of temper. For moms, busy as they are, it's crucial that they learn how to manage stress.

First of all, make sure you always create time for yourself. It could be a relaxing bath at the end of the day, or it could be a trip to the local nail salon to get a manicure. It doesn't really matter what you do, as long as it's relaxing and gives you time just for yourself.

Learn to use deep breathing exercises to relax you throughout your daily activities. Breathe deeply in through your nose using your belly, not your chest, and slowly exhale. You may be surprised how effective this little exercise is in reducing your stress levels.

It's vital that you exercise regularly. Aerobics and light workouts greatly reduce stress, help your self-esteem, increase your ability to concentrate, and boost your energy levels. And you don't necessarily have to go to the local fitness center. Even a quick walk around the block or climbing the stairs instead of taking the elevator can be beneficial.

Maintain healthy eating habits. There's no faster way to increase your stress levels than to devour a chocolate cake, then spent all day feeling guilty about it. Make sure you're getting enough healthy nutritious food at regular times during the day.

Maintain healthy relationships. It is essential that you have at least one friend who you can call just to talk about anything and everything. Sometimes just being able to vent with a friend who cares is the best way to relieve stress.

Finally, learn to smile. Laugh at your mistakes. See a romantic comedy. Determine to enjoy life to the fullest-- it makes a huge difference!
